    Our client, a forward thinking and progressive Further Education College based near Bradford now requires a Marketing and Employer Services Assistant.

    The role
    This is a “temporary to permanent” assignment with responsibility for the following areas:

    • To act as a Marketing Assistant with particular responsibility for actively promoting the College’s provision for employers and adults seeking vocational training
    • To research opportunities for potential business
    • To support the collate and distribution of marketing mail shots
    • To assist with the marketing and administration of the College’s learndirect e business portfolio
    • To assist in the production of leaflets and fliers using the appropriate software
    • To contribute to updating the College website
    • To contribute to the College’s efficient contact with employers and ensure a responsive, client focused service

    The successful candidate
    In order to succeed within this role, a candidate must demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

    A Level qualifications or equivalent. GCSE (grade C or above) in English Language
    Experience of business communications and systems and working within a busy office environment
    Fluent with web environments and a high level of IT literacy, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint.
    Familiarity with press release writing and DTP would be advantageus
    Able to carry and lift promotional material (such as displays and boxes of leaflets etc)
    Able to travel away from the College’s current sites to events elsewhere in the district
    Experience within the marketing function within an education environment would be of extreme interest
    The role involves a 37 hour week, with a flexibility to work hours, including occasional evenings.

    As this position, while moving to permanent, does start as temporary, the role attracts a £8.60 per hour pay rate, and a salary of £16,581 when permanent. It is common practice for this employer to recruit in this manner.
