THE COMPANY
Established since 1982, this organisation works at the heart of the community providing housing related services in the utilities and compliance sectors. This role will be to join one of the most successful companies in the country in a home-based position.

ROLE OVERVIEW
To undertake desk top assessments (audits) of the Health and Safety procedures, policies and documentation of registered contractors.
As part of the Audit Services Team, you will carry out desktop assessments of contractors' health and safety management systems whilst providing support and advice on improving the way in which they manage their health and safety.

The ideal candidate, must be at least NEBOSH certificate qualified (or equivalent) and hold (or be actively working towards) Tech IOSH status. Full training and professional development will be provided.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
*To ensure audits are undertaken in accordance with the SAFEcontractor PGN and charter standards and ISO9002 Quality procedures.
*To write suitable audit reports to failed contractors.
*To ensure that the database information on Insurance and work activities is correct at time of accreditation.
*To deal with contractor queries regarding Health and Safety related issues.
*To provide advice and guidance to contractors.
*To recommend new idea's and methods of working to ensure that a quality audit is undertaken.
*To provide feedback on Health and Safety standards to the Audit Services Manager, Audit Team Leaders and at Technical meetings.
*Any other duties as necessary.

ESSENTIALS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
*Confidence in dealing with a variety of Health and Safety issues
*Trained to NEBOSH General or higher
*Solid experience in the health and safety field and construction Industry
*Membership of a professional body, ie TechIOSH
*Ability to consistently work to a high quality standard
*Computer literate
*Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
*Ability to work to deadlines on occasions
