    The Role:

    Planning and Performance Officer

    Role Purpose:

    To work with the Head of Performance and Planning to develop and implement planning and performance frameworks including:

    ·Fully integrated corporate planning
    ·Organisational performance management
    ·Continuous improvement and self assessment
    ·New business assessment
    ·Interlinking SSC activity.

    Main Duties:

    ·Under the direction of the Head of Planning and Performance, provide support to the leadership team and senior managers.

    ·To support the development of the new business assessment process.

    ·To support the development of the organisational annual report including annual and quarterly reviews of performance against the business plan.

    ·To support the Head of Planning and Performance in ensuring that the business has a co-ordinated corporate planning process including assisting in the production of the strategic plan, business plan, directorate, national and constituency plans.

    ·To support the development of online business plans including researching IT requirements in liaison with the IT team and web services, format and content; all within budget.

    Who We're Looking For:

    We are looking for a candidate with the following experience:

    ·Experience/knowledge of corporate planning and organisational performance management within a complex/public sector organisation

    ·Experience/knowledge of self-assessment and continuous improvement within a complex/public sector organisation

    ·Experience of successful contribution to work at a policy/strategic level, with desirable outcomes

    ·Our client is particularly interested in candidates who have experience of working in education, training, local/regional/national government or similar

    ·Experience of working in education, training, local, regional or national government, sector skills council or similar

    ·Experience of producing and supporting the publication of corporate documents for a complex/public sector organisation

    ·Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF

    ·Appropriate and relevant first degree or experience which has provided and equivalent intellectual challenge

    ·Willingness to work flexibly, including travel throughout the UK involving regular meetings in: Leeds, London, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

    Salary:

    The salary for this role is £25,000.

    Please be aware that the position is a 12 months Fixed Term Contract.
