ROLE PURPOSE
To control the sales ledger within agreed targets.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
*To maintain timely collection of cash from customers
*To ensure debtor day targets are met
*Answer the telephone promptly and professionally
*Liaison where necessary with internal and external contacts
*To communicate effectively between departments
*To provide cover as and when required for other team members ledgers
*To ensure that authorisation of order release and credit limits comply with company procedures
*To maintain credit limits
*To ensure all customers where appropriate receive letters within credit control procedures
*To maintain sales ledger to minimise bad debt risk
*To ensure that the debtor listing is accurately maintained
*To ensure all work is correctly documented for ledger reviews
*To ensure that invoice query procedure are adhered to
*To ensure that blocked orders are dealt with quickly and efficiently
*To keep accurate customer record cards
*Prepare accounts for legal action within company procedures
*To take prompt action where a customer becomes insolvent
*Maintain Company assets
*Comply with safety notices
*Co-operate on all matters concerned with any health, safety, training, legislative and environmental matters
*Observe good housekeeping practices and maintain your work area in a safe, clean, and tidy condition
