Leading manufacturing business require an HR Coordinator to cover a maternity contract from mid November 2008 for a period of 12 months
Job Purpose: To assist the HR Manager/HR Officers in providing an efficient operation of the Human Resources department by providing an effective support service on site.
Key Objectives:
Participate in disciplinary and grievances hearing (verbal and 1st written stage) and feedback on a regular basis to HR Manager on any concerns/issues such as further training for Managers.
To assist the H&S Manager in responding to Employers Liability Claims
To be the 2nd point of contact for general day to day queries
Co-ordinate training requests received source and book all training courses including – First Aid renewals / FLT and log on Ingenuity
To assist with the return to work interviews/well being meetings and liaise with the HR Manager/Officers any concerns
To assist HR Officers to produce accurate data from HR System/time and attendance for lates and absence review meetings
To be fully involved with the recruitment & selection process for shop floor and staff roles for 1st interviews.
To coordinate all temporary agency workers and deal with general queries, as well as provide support to HR Administrator with weekly reports for Agency.
Person Specification:
Skill/Characteristic Essential Desirable
Education: Good standard of numeracy/literacy.
Excellent IT skills.
Studying towards CIPD
Experience: Disciplinary /grievance processes
Recruitment and Selection 2 years of working within HR
Manufacturing Exp
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Excellent communication.
Approach to Work: Accuracy and attention to detail
