Are you looking for a new Cashier role working for an exciting organisation which is rapidly expanding? Working in brand new office based near Leeds Bradford Airport, this Cashier role could be just what you're looking for...!

Role Purpose:

To ensure all cash and bank transactions are accurately recorded and the bank and cash accounts are accurate and reconciled. To ensure all collections of money by direct debit is taken accurately and on time.

Principal Duties:

-Process all direct debit collections
-Complete daily banking via Internet and management of the treasury account
-Daily and monthly completion of bank reconciliations
-Accurate accounting of petty cash as well as analyse and process expense, mileage claims and credit card payments
-Process any ad hoc cheque requisitions and BACS/CHAPS payments as required
-To allocate payments and receipts to purchase and sales ledger
-Typing correspondence, compiling reports and completing analysis
-To deal with telephone calls and enquiries and take messages when staff are unavailable, taking action to escalate urgent enquiries to the responsible person or appropriate deputy in his/her absence
-To deal with internal and external correspondence bringing urgent matters to the attention of the responsible person or appropriate deputy in times of absence
-To undertake clerical procedures including photocopying, processing incoming and out going post/facsimiles, collation and distribution of information, filing etc
-Undertake, without supervision, the acknowledging and responding to certain written and verbal enquiries; bring forward and follow up as appropriate
-Any other duties commensurate with the post.

Who We're Looking For:

The right candidate for this role will have the following attributes:

Qualifications:
-Good standard of education
-Be literate and numerate
-Good command of English language both written and spoken

Knowledge, Skills And Experience:
-Previous experience in a similar role to include collection of large volumes of Direct Debit payments
-Good IT skills/computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and SQL
-Experience of Sage 200 or comparable
-Ability to work to own initiative, within agreed department guidelines
-Excellent numeracy, customer care, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
