Purchasing / Supply Chain Assistant

Our client is based in Leeds. They are one of the leaders in their field and successfully import and distribute products from around the world.
Their main client base consists of national accounts, wholesalers and independent retailers.
This role is complex and diverse – as well as liaising internally and with suppliers, you will liaise with some of the National Accounts. This will be over the phone and sometimes face to face. You will report to them on stock availability and forecasts as well as deal with any issues they have.
Many of your suppliers are based in China, Europe and the UK You with liaise with them regularly and have to do a lot of chasing. You will therefore need to be well organised and meticulous.
This is a demanding, yet rewarding role.
We are looking for someone with relevant purchasing or supply chain experience who is customer focused with a good head for figures. You must of course be confident and hardworking.
