| The person appointed will be required to work in the Programme area of Engineering, within Business and Workforce Development, which runs a comprehensive range of courses in Motor Vehicle, Fabrication and Welding Engineering and training schemes for local industry and training agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation and operations of the Motor Vehicle, Fabrication & Welding Engineering curriculum area. They will teach on full-time and/or part time courses, in Motor Vehicle, Fabrication & Welding Engineering. They will be expected to have a sound knowledge within the above field and an awareness of related areas. The ability to develop and contribute to the teaching of information technology is a pre-requisite of this appointment. Applicants must have relevant industrial experience and must hold a minimum qualification of HNC/D, Full Technological Certificate or a suitable equivalent. They will have teaching experience in motor vehicle and/or fabrication & welding engineering, hold a relevant teaching qualification and have assessor and verifier qualifications.
