Medical Secretary

Our client, a leading medical organisation based in Leeds City Centre, is looking to recruit a Medical Secretary to provide an efficient level of secretarial and administrative support to its medicolegal advisors.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role shall include:
Typing letters of a confidential nature using audio digital dictation
Arranging appointments and managing multiple diaries
Making all relevant travel arrangements
Effectively communicating messages to appropriate Managers
Checking and coordinating the post
Dealing extensively with staff members, solicitors and third parties, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with promptly and followed up fully
Developing and maintaining updated filing systems within the medical department
Liaising with colleagues to ensure a robust and efficient storage and retrieval system for personal data, managerial data and relevant departmental data
Participating in a switchboard and reception Rota as needed
The successful candidate will possess:
A high level of efficiency, accuracy and initiative
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to work to strict deadlines
A good understanding of English grammar essential
Patience, tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Knowledge of medical terminology advantageous
High level keyboard skills (RSA II or equivalent)
Audio typing speed of 60 wpm minimum
Legal experience essential
