| Head of Service Management The UK Clinical Research Network, Leeds You will lead the teams who manage all our systems hardware and infrastructure and provide helpdesk support to all users. We’ll look to you to develop and deliver network services that are both customer focused and cost effective. Setting the strategic direction for service management, you’ll contribute as part of our IS senior management team. You’ll develop strategic level project plans and business cases, and an implementation plan for the whole programme’s systems hardware and network infrastructure. In addition, you’ll need to co-ordinate work across your own teams and lead and motivate around 11 people. The technical side of your brief will include working closely with the Head of Application Development to ensure that applications are documented, tested and supported; developing a rapid application development (RAD) approach; and establishing an ITIL-based infrastructure management environment. Clearly, you’ll need a good background in mission-critical systems management and support. We’ll also expect a proven record of building, developing and leading high-performing, substantial teams. Your demonstrable ability to manage day-to-day prioritisation in response to the criticality of risks and issues is going to be key.
