We are currently seeking an experienced personal injury legal secretary to join one of Leeds leading law firms, you will be working from their prestigious offices based in the heart of Leeds city centre.
This role would suit someone who will thrive in the fast paced nature of the department. The role will involve a full range of secretarial duties including organising fee earner dairies, arranging meetings with clients, taking messages for fee earners, dealing with general queries and composing letters and other documents at the request of fee earners
You will be working in a busy environment and will need to handle a heavy workload therefore it is essential that you have excellent organisational skills and are capable of using your own initiative. In addition, you will be dealing with client telephone calls so a good telephone manner and the confidence to deal with a wide range of people will be important. This role is team based therefore preference to team working is essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a legal secretary, ideally within PI. Have an excellent grasp of spelling and grammar and should possess highly competent audio typing skills, RSA typing stage 2 or equivalent, good GCSE’s / O Level (or equivalent) passes including Maths and English. You will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office Package, Case Management systems and be confident in composing letters and ideally have experience of Winscribe or another similar dictation system.
