The Company
The recruiter provides facilities management, building maintenance and whole life solutions to a wide variety of customers throughout the UK.
Customers vary from smaller regional contracts that are supported through their mobile maintenance national delivery infrastructure to larger long term manned site contracts where delivery is tailored solutions and an integrated service in-line with the client's needs. The recruiter are also market leaders in PFI/PPP service management and are gaining increasing expertise in the health and educational sectors.
Building Maintenance contracts held include: Heathrow Express, Institute of Cancer research, Lloyds Register, Scottish Water, Tesco and Woolworths to name but a new.
The Role
You will be working as an electricalengineer, starting work inPinderfields and Pontefract General Hospitals. Youwill be required to work as part of a flexible maintenance team responsible, through direct line management by the Technical Services Manager (or Technical Development Manager where appropriate). You will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance, repair and minor project works within the hospitals and to work in accordance with the requirements ofElectrical Engineering - lighting, wiring, fire alarms, emergency lighting, testing etc. Once this initial work at the hospitals is complete you will be working in a mobile capacity in and around the Yorkshire on month planned and reactive maintenance.
Major duties include:
- Undertaking fault finding onelectrical systems and equipment.
- Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use of all relevant drawings and schematics
- Completing all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commission and test in accordance with published procedures
- Complete all Task Assessment sheets relating to work.
- Use of all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works ensuring full compliance with Department Guidelines and Controls e.g. Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances.
- Understand fully the inter-relationship between the various maintenance crafts.
- Possess current UK driving licence
- Obligation to undertake training where necessary to learn new techniques
- Be competent to undertake work on the type of systems and equipment for which the appointment is sought
- Be familiar with the type of systems and equipment on which work is required to be undertaken
- Possess technical knowledge and sufficient experience to avoid any danger that may be presented by the work to be undertaken
- Be competent to carry out works in accordance with the safe system of works.
Skills:
- Candidate's must have 16th or 17th edition
- 2391 test and inspection qualified
- Strong electrical maintenance knowledge
