Estimating Engineer

Location :: Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster, Wakefield, Chesterfield
Salary :: £30,000- £35,000

My client a leading manufacturing company is looking to recruit an individual that be looking to grow into a senior role managing the Estimating and Sales Department, this role will be a senior strategic role within the business reporting directly in to the Operations Director
The main responsibilities of the position are to:
Will be producing accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings
The company covers a wide range of Machining and Fabrication work so candidates should have a background of both sides of the business.
Would be monitoring enquiries within the company and speaking direct with customers and end users
The ideal candidate will have:
An education to HNC / HND or higher with experience of a range of engineering and manufacturing operations with a strong mechanical engineering background.
An established background in heavy engineering.
A proven ability to solve problems through investigation and application of sound solutions.
Good communication, planning, organising and management skills.
