PART TIME HR ASSISTANT, BD1, £14,385 (Full time equivalent)
THE JOB
·Administration of a high volume of recruitment campaigns per month
· High-volume processing of documentation (e.g. payroll forms, new starter documentation)
· Administrative support to two operational HR practitioners as well as the HR Manager North, and other personnel when required
· Responsible for the full administration of all recruitment programmes, managing and using the computerised personnel systems to track through to completion.
· Maintaining the absence reporting process (including advising managers where individuals have reached absence trigger points)
·Ensuring that all pay changes/payroll checked, signed and ready for payroll deadlines and that payslips are issued in an appropriate manner
.Drafting standard correspondence in relation to changes to employee terms and conditions of employment.
·Updating organisation charts as required
·Working as part of a National team to ensure consistency in the administration process, and identifying areas for improvement by taking actions agreed to achieve this.
·Maintaining a system to administer the HR North budget, including liaising with the Finance department and external providers as appropriate.
·Responsible for the upkeep of all manual and computerised personnel records and actively managing the department’s filing systems to ensure compliance with audit requirements and the Data Protection Act.
·Managing the joining and leaving processes (including maternity leave), ensuring that information is actioned in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with agreed personnel procedures.
· Act as point of contact for queries and information requests on the application of general policy and procedure, and filtering enquiries through to the relevant team members where appropriate.
· Assisting other HR team members with selected tasks when required (e.g. Annual Pay Review administration).
THE PERSON
·Some previous exposure to HR work, ideally gained through HR administration, or a demonstrable interest in HR.
·Experience of managing high volume recruitment administration
·Sound administration skills appropriate to the delivery of a high quality service to internal and external customers alike.
·Demonstrable experience of working in a high throughput office environment.
.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. This includes ability to draft correspondence, an excellent telephone manner, and the ability to deal diplomatically with all members of the organisation, including senior management.
·Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise a demanding workload
·High level of team working skills with the ability to identify where assistance is required and use initiative to hep others complete tasks with minimal assistance
·Excellent attention to detail.
·Ability to demonstrate highest level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
·A good typing speed, accurate and confident with numbers.
·Experience of using office software
PAY AND BENEFITS
Full time equivalent salary of £14,385, 22 days holiday + stats (pro rata), Bupa health care and Dental plan.
