THE ROLE
The overall purpose of this role will be to plan and administer policies relating to all phases of human resources activity
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Identify legal requirements, applicable ISO standards and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
•Review employee handbook and update policies/procedures as needed in accordance with current UK employment law.
• Recruit, interview and aid in selection of candidates to fill positions at all levels.
•Structure employment contracts and job offer letters, with terms and conditions, meeting the requirements of UK employment laws.
•Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits and programs
•Assist Supervisors/Managers in handling disciplinary/grievance procedures
•Advise management of appropriate method of resolution of employee relations issues
•Identify training and development needs, and source training providers
•Develop salary administration program with job classifications, salary levels, etc.
•Develop procedures to assure fair and equitable annual performance reviews
THE PERSON:
- CIPD certified
- University Degree in area of business, Human Resources or related field
- Expertise in both deferred benefit and deferred contribution pension plans as well as life insurance and private medical insurance.
-5 Years experience with full responsibility of HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
-2 Years supervisory experience
