Our client deals with Seafreight Container, Overland Haulage and Airfreight services for the Mediterranean, Middle East, Far East and Indian Sub-Continent.
Duties of the role will include:
• Checking delivery dates with freight companies
• Informing warehouse of deliveries
• Producing weekly/monthly stock & order reports
• Organising logistics
• Verifying tariffs, port handling fees, and taxes according to product imported
• Monitoring delivery when import at destination arrived
• Ensuring all shipments are processed and monitored from supplier to warehouse.
• Liaising with other departments and company personnel in order to maintain and exceed customer service expectations and minimise expenditure. For example correct tariff classification of goods
• Updating and managing computerised stock control system, including all stock movements i.e. warehousing, processing
• On notification of shipment from supplier, must maintain and monitor movement
• Monitoring payments to suppliers
You will need:
Previous Exports and Forwarding experience
Electronic stock control experience ? 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above (or equivalent)
Experience of Microsoft Office Packages with intermediate level of skills on Excel
Good attention to detail
Good at remaining calm, efficient and professional when under pressure
A Confident, friendly and enthusiastic personality
Hours of work are Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30.
