Randstad are currently recruiting Collections Associates to join a busy and successful team based just outside Leeds City Centre.
Our client is one of the UK's largest High Street Banks and are known for their friendly and professional attitude and the great way they treat their people.
The role is within the Mortgage Department, chasing and collecting payments from customers in arrears; a classic collections role.
You must have collections experience, not necessarily in mortgages but this would be a considerable advantage.
As you will be talking to customers to arrange payments, you should have a good telephone manner and be able to deal with all the potential difficulties that arise from what can be awkward conversations regarding overdue balances.
There will be a balance of Inbound and Outbound calls with Outbound tending to be mainly during the evening shifts when customers will be at home.
You will be involved in taking Debit card payments over the phone and inputting data into the systems to record all activity
Must be able to drive the collection process forward and get as much money back ASAP, as the main target is to collect money on every call.
You will not be expected to give advice about payment plans or credit management issues; your role is to arrange to collect as much of any outstanding balances as you can.
