    Administration Assistant/Secretary - Part Time - 20hours per week - £16,381.62 per annum (pro-rata)

    Main purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective administrative support service to the Special Educational Needs Team, in particular the production of statements of special educational needs, data input and general administration.


    Responsabilities...
    - Implement and have regard to policies and procedures, including living and promoting Values and Vision.
    - Provide admin support to the Team, including: the production of statements, letters, reports and correspondence from Senior Education Officers and other Team members.
    - Provide an efficient telephone/reception, photocopying, filing, e-mailing, post, record-keeping service and able to arrange courses liaising where necessary and arrange meetings/ attend where necessary.
    - Act as a customer interface for the Team on the telephone, training courses and meetings.
    - To establish and maintain systems and procedures to ensure the effective administration of the team.
    - Deputise for the Senior Administrative Assistant as required.
    - To efficiently utilise software - Word, E-mail, Excel, FM Easy, PowerPoint, EMS.
    - To update pupil data in the system for admissions and transfers modules.
    - To input school contacts on to the system
    - To contact schools regarding the accuracy of pupil data.
    - To link with the Education Information Service on pupil data.

    People management:
    - To take part in the organisation's Performance Management Process.

    Financial management:
    - At all times operate with appropriate financial discipline.
    - Demonstrate creative flair and initiative ensuring that the reputation and financial interests are met.

    Key objectives will be mutually agreed with the immediate line manager during the annual performance management process. The post-holder will be judged at the next performance management meeting on how well these objectives have been met.

    Knowledge and Experience
    - Experience of working in a word processing environment.
    - Experience of working in a busy office environment.
    - Previous experience of working effectively under pressure and to fixed deadlines.
    - Highly developed organisational skills.
    - Experience of team work and working on own initiative.
    - Experience of working with Management Information Systems.
    - GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent.
    - RSA II or III Typing/Word Processing.
    - Evidence of training and use of Microsoft applications.
