Transport Supervisor
£18,600
Mon-Fri shifts 6am-2pm 2pm-10pm

Do you have experience working within transport?
Do you have management or supervisory experience?
Do you have excellent planning and organisational skills?
We are recruiting for a motivated tea player to support the Transport Manager in the provision of a timely and efficient distribution service to the retail environment.
Main duties will include:
• To ensure that all drivers are fully briefed prior to departure
• To ensure that manifests are set up and prepared
• To ensure that drivers are allocated to the correct routes
• To place agency bookings for additional drivers and to ensure that all records are maintained efficiently
• To ensure that stores are informed of changes to their normal delivery schedule on a timely basis.
• To collate, organise and distribute invoices and deal with all phone enquiries and action as required.
• To ensure vehicle maintenance is kept up to date and monitor tachographs in line with ECC legislation
• Liase with the Operations Shift Manager, regarding daily schedules and the availability of trucks for loading.
• To ensure that drivers are debriefed on their return to the depot and to ensure that any trailer defects or store complaints are recorded.
CPC qualification is an advantage but not essential
