The Business of Human Relationships

The majority of your role is phone based. You have strong communication skills and a proven ability to build rapport with new contacts immediately. You will be cold calling companies, and selling yourself, our company and the benefits of our service to them, and asking them about what roles they have open that they will allow you to work on.

Once you have found relevant candidates you will be selling their relevant skills to the employer. Listening skills are key: so that you can ascertain their needs and sell your candidates effectively.
You will also have the opportunity to go on client visits, in order to build close relationships with Clients. In addition you will be negotiating rates with companies, this requires strong powers of persuasion and tenacity.

You will also need to determine what level of commitment the company will give to you: that is to say if they will see all your candidates face to face, or if they will allow you to send them CVs but will not commit to interview your candidates. This allows you to prioritise your workload, and spend most time on roles where you are likely to make a placement.

Equally you will need to sell to your candidates. We work with professionals, often with extensive specialist skills, they are sought after in the marketplace. You will be a positive individual who is able sell yourself and your roles above all the other opportunities they have open to them.

As financial rewards in recruitment are far and above what you can expect in any other graduate career, you must be money motivated and ambitious.
