| The recruiting company is a Mechanical specialist within the installation industry focussing on Air-conditioning and plumbing. They have joined up with a commercial fit-out and joinery company to provide a full installation and refurbishment service to commercial and retail clients. As a privately owned company, the partnership companyhas pioneered progressive commercial interiors since 1973, implementing efficient, well-designed schemes across the entire spectrum of industry and commerce. They have always responded to the needs of the marketplace with the development of new techniques, considerate use of materials and the training and development of staff. The position on offer is to work as an Air-conditioning Installation Engineer, working independently on different jobs throughout the UK. Primarily concerned with VRF/VRV (Mitsubishi) and split systems, you will be working on commercial and retail properties for both new build and re-furbishments. Working around the UK, you could be working on individual projects for a couple of days to a couple of weeks depending on the size and as a result you must be prepared to be flexible and work away from home where ever necessary. There will also be some out of hours and weekend work to complete within the role and although this will be kept to a minimum candidates must be flexible to complete any hours necessary. This partnership is expected to be very fruitful and as a result lots of growth within the company will be expected. As a result the individual recruited now will be fast tracked into a supervisor and contracts manager role. Skills - Candidates are required to have proven experience within Air-conditioning Installation and be able to work independently around the UK and so must be able to think of their feet , make their own decisions and hold a driving license - Candidates must have their Safe Handling of Refrigerants qualifications as well a either a City and Guilds or NVQ qualification - Appearance is important within the role and candidates must be professional and presentable at all times as they are the companies representative on site. - Candidates are required to be flexible and have a positive attitude - Good customer facing and communication skills are essential - As this role is a fast track position to supervisor and contracts manager along with the growth of the company, candidate must be ambitious and want to work towards this. Benefits : - The role is hourly paid with 37 hours per week and all time after that at over time rate so although the role will be negotiable in the mid- 20's as a base wage your annual earnings will be around £40,000. - There is a company vehicle with the role which is fully expensed - Pension scheme available and potentially a health scheme - Paid over time - Excellent promotion opportunities |
