Due to growth of the business our client seeks to recruit a Commercial Underwriter to join their team based in Harrogate. You will be able to demonstrate considerable experience underwriting commercial business on a broad range of general commercial products, providing risk management advice to a select panel of brokers. You will be responsible for new business , amendments & renewals, whilst ensuring all business activity fully complies with FSA guidelines and is completed within specified time scales. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, building & maintaining relations with a select panel of brokers, work well as part of a team & also independently. You must have a full understanding of the principles, practices & legalities of all major classes of insurance and a thorough knowledge of underwriting & rating factors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business with great career prospects. Candidates will preferably be educated to A Level standard with evidence of work toward CII qualifications.
