Role: Transport Planner/Traffic Engineer
Location: Leeds

My client specialises in transport planning, traffic engineering and infrastructure design consultancy services. Working in close partnership with its clients, the company provides expert advice and strategic solutions to meet specific requirements. They work with private sector organisations on major commercial, leisure, retail and residential development schemes, also providing support and advice on strategic planning, traffic, infrastructure design and transportation matters to local government and public bodies.
Due to the expansion, my client is looking for a transportation engineer for their Leeds office.

This is a technical post reporting to the Regional Director. The Engineer will assist Senior Engineers acting in the capacity of Project Managers. Applicants should be educated to degree level,have relevant experience, membership of relevant institutions and approaching I.Eng. or C.Eng. status.
Your role will assist with Traffic assessments, design and report writing. You will also represent my client at meetings with external organisations.

Applicants should also have a working knowledge of:

- Department of Transport Standards
- Transport Related Government policy documents (e.g. PPG's, Circulars etc)
- I H T Guidelines for Transport Impact Assessments
- Processing and management of data
- PC literate (including AutoCAD, Autotrack, TRICS, Arcady, Linsig,Picady, Windows)
