Full Description:
Title: Marketing and Planning Manager Salary: £35,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Planning Manager based on the outskirts of Leeds. This role holds the responsibility of the provision of commercial customer, competitor and market insights, effective design, execution and analysis of customer research projects and programmes, and insightful collection, analysis and management of competitive intelligence, external market and industry data. The Role:

Customer Research & Analysis:
* Implement internal and external research programmes
* Commission research to budget via external agencies - developing brief, data requirements and results presentation
* Create and deploy internal research: customer satisfaction survey, brand affinity, customer behaviour etc
* Effectively communicate results on time to budget
* Provide insightful & actionable recommendations
* Integrate with competitive reporting, as appropriate

Customer Feedback:
* Capture & manage customer feedback all channels
* Communicate key findings across business to ensure improved customer satisfaction is embedded throughout all teams
* Develop processes to enable more accessible, timely, integrated data to key decision makers

Competitor & Market Assessment:
* Procure and analyse relevant economic data and market statistics
* Keep all areas of the business updated with current, relevant, up-to-date market share and trends information
* Provision of competitor analytics and interpretation, assessing the potential business impact
* Assessment of market trends / conditions and competitor behaviour

Communication & Engagement :
* Effective communication of implications and recommendations for business programmes to address gaps in the marketplace
* Ownership of the communication and visibility of customer and competitor insights, supporting a wide audience of stakeholders - to include regular updates into the business via the Intranet, circulated reports, etc. as appropriate
* Improve organisational understanding of customers, competitors and market conditions / perceptions
* Deliver specific customer and competitor insights to support projects and business initiatives - providing the external context and voice of the customer"

Who we're looking for:
We are looking for someone who has experience in a research capacity covering a variety of research methodologies including focus groups, phone surveys and online tools. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or intellectual equivalent). You must have a strong proven track record of delivering Qual and Quant research that result in actionable insights, a strong working knowledge of Primary and secondary research techniques, and data and research results interpretation skills. You must also have an aptitude for large volumes of data and preparation of case material, excellent PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft office databases and statistical analysis tools, and project management capability.
