| Duties and Responsibilities In addition to the duties listed, the jobholder is required to perform other reasonable duties (within the jobholders capabilities) assigned by line management. 1.Negotiate, appoint / terminate suppliers as appropriate that provide the quality, service, cost & terms that best satisfies the needs of the business unit. 2.Ensure systems are in place with suppliers that enable fluctuations in demand to be accommodated, e.g. Kan Bans / consignment stock etc. 3.Provide support to product development to enable cost reduction & redesign that will enhance the product offering. 4.Analyse re-order levels / stock levels / demand forecasting & manage reporting structures that ensure stock-outs / overdue orders are a minimum, stock levels + stock turn are within agreed plan levels. 5.Raise & expedite orders on suppliers. 6.Resolve invoice & delivery (POD) queries as required. 7.Measure & evaluate supplier performance / product failures / non-conformance. Measure of Performance Order lead-time; customer complaints; gross margin development; stock value. Stock-outs; order lead-times. Development of gross margin & turnover. Number of stock-outs; stock level; stock turn. Stock-outs; order lead-times. Number of accounts queries / supplier feedback / GRNs. Rework cost incurred / deducted from suppliers. |
