Job Description
Training Supervisor
Based Leeds
Salary: £30k plus benefits
37.5 hours per week
A superb opportunity working within this highly successful financial services business to be part of their growing and continued success. Reporting to the training and Competence Manager you will be tasked to support the delivery of the training and competence scheme by the sales team, including identification of training needs and the development and delivery of training courses and workshops as necessary.
In addition you will be responsible for monitoring the scheme, reporting any issues and/or risks to the Training and competence manager as agreed.
Additionally you will develop the organisations training function in order to improved sales standards and performance across the organisation.
Our client is looking for an exceptional candidate able to fulfill the following requirements:
Can demonstrate Financial Services supervisory experience.
Willing to study towards:- Certificate in Financial planning plus RO4 Pensions and Retirement Planning and good understanding of annuity products
J07 Supervision in a regulated environment (or equivalent eg. H15)
OR
Certificate in Supervising in a Regulated Environment (CeSRE)
OR
Suitable Training Qualifications
In addition desirable attributes include:
Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) (or MAQ)
Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER)
Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER) (Home Reversion 'top-up' unit OR ER1)
Experience of Equity Release, Annuities, Standard Mortgages, Protection and Buildings and Contents.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Work with the training and competence manager to:
Identify training and development needs of all colleagues impacted by the T&C scheme using a variety of methods including training needs analysis surveys, recruitment and induction processes, end of probation reviews and annual performance appraisals
Produce an annual training plan and programme based on training needs identified for the role of Sales Advisor and Team Leader positions to enhance existing sales processes.
TRAINING PROVISION
Work with the training and competence manager to:
Develop, co-ordinate and maintain in-house training courses, workshops to be delivered on a rolling programme, including induction and management skills courses for both Advisor and Supervisory positions
Develop and implement the induction process and sign off of new advisors in conjunction with Compliance and company processes
Carry out course evaluation and analysis and act on feedback where necessary to ensure high training delivery
Oversee delivery of training courses by external providers where appropriate
Manage identified training needs through one to one process through review of Supervisors records
Training delivery will include:
Deliver in-house training courses, sessions, coaching sessions and workshops
Develop and prepare course content and support materials as required.
Support on-going team development of product knowledge
Support development of the Advisor Assistant Roles
Administration tasks to include:
Work with the training and competence manager to:
Conduct file reviews and call observations in a 'check the checker' capacity, identifying any training requirements and/or risks, providing feedback to individuals as appropriate
Develop and maintain appropriate Management Information to support the T&C scheme activities
Provide support to Supervisors where individuals are identified as needing to move into a more intense supervisory regime,
Ensure appropriate sign off is given for all T&C scheme related documentation and that records are maintained.
Supporting key ethics and values to include:
- Ensuring all customers are treated fairly
Work with the training and competence manager to:
- Ensure that the TCF outcomes are embedded within all activities as a matter of course
General duties to include:
Work with the training and competence manager to:
Support Head of compliance as and when required and, in conjunction with other team members, provide cover when on annual leave.
Any additional Ad Hoc duties that may be required from time to time
