Job Description

EMIS provides remote technical support to GP Practices all over the UK. These GP Practices are using a number of software applications developed by EMIS.

EMIS Support Department are currently recruiting for Streaming Support Consultants. The Streaming Support Consultants will provide customer support services for users and customers in relation to the EMIS Web Streaming service, primarily supporting the EMIS Streaming service and ensuring it is maintained and inline with agreed SLA targets.

Standard duties and responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis and resolution of incidents reported to the EMIS help desk regarding the EMIS Web Streaming service.

  • Use a knowledge base to match up previously reported incidents with new reported incidents
  • Taking customer calls in a professional manner and accurately recording reported incidents on the EMIS customer database
  • Ensure that the team meets all targets as defined in each of the service level agreements, with extra attention given to the hosted contracts

Position Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • A logical approach to troubleshooting when resolving technical problems in an IT environment.
  • Experience of working in application support or in a Service Desk team.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal, at the user level and at the technical level,
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

Skills / experience in any of the following would be of benefit:

  • ITIL Foundation
  • NHS and Primary Care
  • Networking Technologies (WAN / LAN)
  • Windows Server 2000/2003/2008, Windows XP/Vista/7
  • SQL Server Management
  • SQL Programming
