Job Description

Our client is a market leader in retail design and bespoke display manufacture. At their premises they are able to offer: Graphic and product design and development, bespoke joinery including manufacture of customised fixture and fittings, Acrylic and Foamex fabrication and flat bed printing, which has the facility to print direct to any flat surface. This is a stand-alone Accounts role sitting within a busy office, this role has been created due to company growth and so our client are ideally looking for someone ready to start a new role immediately on a part-time basis

Within this role you will be responsible for providing a full purchase and sales ledger function, as the only accounts person within the business this is a very busy role and requires an individual with extensive accounts experience.

Duties will include;

• Opening New Customer Accounts * Raising company invoicing * Company Expenses * Bank Reconciliation * Petty Cash - monthly * Reconciling statements * Handling customer queries * Batching high volumes of invoices * Scrutinizing the purchase ledger system * Processing payments runs, BACS transfers and telegraphic transfer and adhoc payments. * Direct Debit reconciliation. * Liaison with HMRC * Customer account reconciliation * Responsible for all suppliers, internal and external. * Matching invoices with purchase orders using a computerised system * Registration of all invoices received in a timely and accurate manner. * Obtain authorisation for payment from Directors and General Managers * Apply appropriate in depth knowledge of VAT rules and discounted payments to check accurate accounting, reporting and payments/reclaims. * Liaison with suppliers to investigate and resolve written and telephone queries, often of a complex and sensitive nature.

Requirements:

• Must have relevant experience. * Experience of Sage or Opera essential * Access Accounts System experience highly desirable * Strong numeracy and literacy skills. * Ideally available to start a new role within the next few weeks!!
