Job Description
A new position has arisen within our client's Marketing Department due to expansion.
We are looking for someone who is dynamic to work within their expanding team, as a Marketing Assistant to support the daily demands and needs of the Marketing function with close support to be given to the Marketing Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and the Marketing Manager, this is a varied role covering all aspects of marketing and communications. The role will require the successful candidate to work across a number of teams working directly with the Marketing Manager, external marketing consultants and the firm’s Business Unit Directors, to assist in the management and implementation of the firms marketing plans.
Duties and responsibilities
Supporting the practice’s marketing function
Supports the information gathering process
o Collating information and creating reports from the firms case management system. Collating all the information needed for the marketing manager to produce all the monthly reports
o Organising and managing the practice’s data-base system
o Supports project planning and budget preparation
o Assist in monitoring documentation and reporting of projects
Supports the analysis process
o Using microsoft and other resources for marketing reporting.
o Supports reviews of marketing activities
Responsibility for the firms promotional and corporate material
o Ensure stock levels are maintained
o Ensure material is up to date
o Ensuring all copy has been proofread and obtaining sign off on marketing materials.
o Assist in the creation and building of the brand
o Assist in the management of the brand
General support and assistance of the organisation of firm wide and departmental marketing events
o Organisation and collation of marketing packs
o Assistance with internal and external seminars
o Assisting with charity events and activities
o Set up and co-ordinate meetings, seminars and events as directed by the Marketing Manager
o Assisting with the scheduling of all the firms events and activities.
o Assisting with the collating of information after marketing events for reporting on outcomes.
Maintains and supports electronic information and updates
o Assisting in ensuring the website is up to date at all times.
o Assisting in the review and update of all online directories.
o Maintain and develop the client database
Promotes and develops communications
o Assisting in the development of communication
o Assisting in the execution and evaluation of communications campaigns
o Produce Meeting notes from all marketing meetings and distribute accordingly.
o Assist in the delivery of communications
o Assist in managing and supporting client relations
Support the Marketing manager as directed.
o Contribute to effective performance as a member of the team
o Assist in the exchange of information with others inside and outside the marketing function
o Embrace change and modify behaviours and attitudes
o Assist in firms fit with the wider business community
o Incorporate ethics and governance in to daily activities
A marketing qualification is essential along with some experience. Experience within a legal firm is highly desireable.
