Job Description
Virtual College Ltd is based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. We are 51st in the top 100 fastest growing companies in Yorkshire. We provide e-learning to over 300 organisations and 680,000 learners nationally. The Health and Social Care Division make up the Healthcare Academy; Safeguarding Children Academy; Lean Healthcare Academy and Safeguarding Adults Academy; we supply online training and solutions to private and public sector organisations such as Safeguarding Children Boards, Safeguarding Adult boards, Police and NHS organisations. We work with these organisations to deliver high quality e-learning, Learning Management Systems and audit tools to complement and enhance their traditional training delivery routes.
We are looking for two new Account Managers to join our rapidly growing business unit. Candidates must be target driven and self-motivated, confident, professional, have excellent communication skills in all formats and at all levels. You must be able to work independently and in a team.
The role would suit a graduate or an individual with experience of sales and account management. Training will be given, but you will need a set of basic skills:
- Excellent customer relationship skills – You will be building relationships with all types of clients from strategic managers through to business managers, training co-ordinators and admin staff. You will be skilled at adapting your approach to each level. You need excellent influencing and problem solving skills.
- The ability to work well in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment. You will be flexible and willing to travel nationally to meet and work with your customer in their environment. This will involve overnight stays. The role is varied and complex and you will be confident and skilful in working with organisations to understand their training issues and come up with cost effective solutions.
- You will have experience of presenting to groups of people and be confident training others in our online tools and software packages. (full systems training will be given)
- Business development skills – You will have a good head for business; you will understand our market and be able to identify new areas for growth, and, working with the marketing team and your fellow account managers; promote and sell our products and services to new and existing customers.
- An understanding of social care or the public sector would be an advantage. Driving licence and access to a car is essential
