Job Description
Our client operates an MIS system, bespoke to the business and implemented in June 2010. Currently, the implementation of any changes to the system and new projects are managed by IT literate individuals in the business with main responsibilities in other areas. They are now looking to consolidate the management of the system by recruiting a dedicated person, in house, to manage upgrades, troubleshoot, scope future projects and manage these through to implementation for the commercial benefit of the business.
This is a new and challenging role, in a busy, quick turnaround environment committed to customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work across all areas of the business to utilize the system’s capacity for maximum business benefit.
Main responsibilities:
Taking ownership of the system and being the single point of contact for the external system providers & to all internal systems users.
Trouble shooting for all systems users on day to day issues (up to 20 people)
Establishing the enhancements required to the current system and prioritizing changes according to business needs.
Implementing all changes to the system, and monitoring the effects of the changes.
Managing senior management expectations on timescales, costs and the commitment required to implement changes.
Providing regular progress checks without needing to be prompted.
Providing a suite of management reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
Analysing, collating and presenting summaries of large volumes of data, e.g. business/department performance in various formats.
Scoping projects and present proposals which are cost effective, solution focused and have a clear business rationale.
Ideally we’re looking for someone who:
Is I.T literate in Microsoft packages.
Understands the Development Life cycle process.
Can demonstrate ownership and a hands - on approach to managing I.T based projects through to fruition.
Has experience as an intermediary between external software providers and internal teams from a variety of departments.
