Job Description
Category Buyer
Based Leeds
Salary £23 - 25k
We are looking to recruit a Buyer for a Leeds based company. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the category buyer is responsible for the day to day management and progression of a selection of spend categories.
Main duties:
Management of niche categories
Ensure best leverage commercially and from a performance
Perspective negotiating individual prices and also costing new ranges
A key part of this role is the complex administration of the product rebates: a) reporting these to the business b) monthly verification of the figures with Mainetti c) reviewing upward / downward trends by brand d) setting of gross prices on new products to protect / improve rebate.
This role involves liaison with each of the brands technical services managers over a) design changes b) different product options c) cost saving initiatives d) forecast information.
Skills & Experience Required:
This is a pivotal role and requires an experienced individual with a proactive and enthusiastic approach who is willing to analyse existing structures and implement change.
