Job Description
As the sole suppliers to the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust we are currently recruiting for a IM&T Technician to work on a 6 months contract basis. The role is working 37.5hrs per week and the rate of pay will be £9.31ph
The post holder, working as part of the Trust Computer Services Team, will provide an I.T. service to all employees of The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The position will involve both 1st line support (via Helpdesk) and 2nd line support which includes advice, evaluation, installation and fault diagnosis/fix appertaining to networked PC desktop systems and their associated software and peripherals.
The post holder will provide support to other senior members of the IM&T team.
The post holder will play a role in insuring that the technical team provide support to the service in assisting the IM&T needs of the 18,000 Trust employees and the 7,500 installed networked PC’s and their associated software and peripheral devices over all the eight sites within the Trust.
The post holder will be a member of the Trust Computer Services Department team with the ability to perform tasks under supervision. They will be expected to work flexibly to provide core service coverage between 08:30 and 17:30 (Monday to Friday) and may also be expected to participate in an on-call rota and to undertake emergency duties as required. Travel to different sites within the Trust may be required as part of the post holders duties.
