Job Description

MRP Controller – Production Planning    

Responsible to: Production Planning & Materials Manager

Purpose:

• Convert output from daily MRP into fully released production orders.
• Provide full administrative function for the Production, Rework, Tailor Made, Prototype and Site, Rectification Flows     
• Work closely with and provide holiday cover for the Production Planner.

• Prototype Flow
• Tailor Made Flow
• Site Rectification Flow

 Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Check and control the daily output and messages from MRP
• Convert Planned Orders into Production Orders
• Sequence metal shop orders into daily batches
• Generate and Print Shop Floor papers for all assembly work centres
• Generate and supply Serial Plates for all Cabinet orders.
• Supply Schematic drawings for Electrical sub-assembly orders
• Run Availability Check (Trial Kitting) for Purchased Components.
• Rework and Refurbishment Administration
• Tailor Made and Prototype Administration
• Site Rectification Administration
• Manage exceptional MRP runs and Unscheduled production requirements
• Change or Cancellation of Production Orders
• Provide holiday cover for the Production Planner.
