CNC Spring machine setter – Manufacturing / Engineering - Skipton

Generous salary, negotiable depending on experience Hours 8.30am - 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, 8am – 3.30pm Friday 32 days holiday p/a

JB Springs, an industry leading manufacturer of springs and wireforms, is seeking a CNC spring machine setter to join their close knit team.

Your primary role will be to set up and run CNC spring coiling machines from technical drawings, sketches, and samples.

A successful applicant is methodical, with a great amount of attention to detail. All applicants must be computer literate, and be able to quickly learn new systems. Previous experience on CNC machines of any sort will be a great advantage. It is not necessary for the applicant to have made springs before however this would be a benefit.

Requirements for the role

Essential:

Experience in a manufacturing engineering working environment A minimum C grade at GCSE or equivalent in maths. A good communicator and able to work on your own initiative. Have knowledge of measuring using a Vernier and Micrometer. Computer Literate.

Desirable:

Prior experience of CNC machines Fork Lift Truck License Knowledge of springs. Knowledge of wire. Knowledge of ISO 9001 2000. Having worked in component part manufacture.
