Sales & Business Development Executive - Haulage Industry Castleford, West Yorkshire £25,000 Plus Uncapped Commission, 5 Weeks\' Holiday, Pension Scheme, Company Car or Car Allowance, Laptop/Mobile Phone, Ongoing Career Development and Support As a family run business, our client has acquired a wealth of experience and knowledge in the UK\'s heavy goods road haulage sector. Since 1985 their expertise in haulage management has enabled them to provide a range of logistical and transport solutions. They are now looking to significantly grow and build the brand over the next 2 to 3 years and are looking for a talented and experienced Sales & Business Development Executive with experience in the haulage industry, to join the team. As the Sales & Business Development Executive you will have responsibility for planning, co-ordinating and delivering the organisations\' sales and business development activities. You will also have the opportunity, as the company grows, to recruit, lead, develop and manage your own dedicated sales and marketing team. As a professional with a strong background in the haulage industry, you will have a proven track record of generating sales and developing new business. You\'re also likely to have an already existing network of customer contacts, the capabilities and resourcefulness for securing new major high value accounts and the ability to work towards the achievement of demanding targets. Your duties will include to: * Developing a strategic plan for growth and identifying new business opportunities * Developing new ideas and promotions to maximise and up sell into existing business * Responding to, and following up, sales enquiries received by post, telephone, email and visits * Managing any external marketing and research activities * Maintaining and developing good customer relationships through planned account management To be considered for this position, you must have a sales and business development background gained within the haulage industry. You must also have: * A results-orientated outlook with a keen desire to succeed * Excellent communication and presentational skills, and the ability to deal with senior level contacts * A full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel UK wide when necessary * A good level of computer literacy Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Castleford or be willing to relocate.
