Quality Technician - Valves and Fittings
Leeds, West Yorkshire

Our client is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and distributors of valves and fittings for the plumbing and heating industries.
An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join the quality assurance team based in Leeds.
The Quality Technician Role
The Quality Technician will perform the following duties:
Perform inspections and tests on incoming material, in process and finished product to ensure that quality standards are met.
Support quality, engineering and manufacturing as needed.
Conduct internal audits to maintain current standards and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct technical investigations into supplier or manufacturing defects/failures and customer complaints. Recommending and actioning appropriate containment and corrective actions.
Generate appropriate documentation, records and reports.
The Quality Technician Candidate
The ideal Quality Technician candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Experience of working in a Quality department would be beneficial but is not an essential requirement.
Experience using manufacturing measurement equipment.
Be able to read technical drawings.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
A high level of attention to detail.
A confident and astute demeanour.
IT literacy (competent user of Microsoft packages).
The successful Quality Technician candidate must be prepared to travel on an occasional basis, within the UK and overseas, and display a flexible approach to working hours, in order to meet the requirements of the role.
