This job involves working with babies and children from various venues in and around the Wakefield area. The work will involve supervising contact sessions between children and their families.

You will be responsible for carrying out observations of parents parenting skills and for providing support and guidance on to parents as and when required.

This post may also require applicants to work in a service users home carrying out safe and well visits, particularly where a concern has been raised about the welfare of a baby/child or children.

The ability to write basic reports is essential. Applicants should have life experience and preferably have raised children of their own. Applicants who have worked with children in any capacity would be welcomed as long as they can demonstrate willingness to learn and undertake regular and on going training.

Applicants who have worked in social care are being sought also, especially those wanting to work with children as training will be provided.
