Title: Shift Maintenance Electrician
Location: Goole
Salary: Up to £22,213 plus S/A £26,656
ROLE OVERVIEW
To work within a team of maintenance engineers providing planned preventative and reactive maintenance within a continuous process production environment.
MAIN DUTIES
The role involves working within a highly automated environment which includes batching of raw materials, melting of raw products, drawing and cooling of molten glass, quality inspection, cutting, packing, warehousing and shipping.
EQUIPMENT USED
PLC automated (Siemens and Allen Bradley) and includes -
*Batch plant (Zippe)
*Hydrogen and Nitrogen mixing stations
*Furnace (STG)
*Tin bath
*Cooling fans
*Annealing oven (Lehr)
*Cooling water systems
*Glass inspection
*Cutting system
*Stacking equipment (Vacuum handling machines / pick and place robots)
*LPG and Natural Gas plant
*HV switchgear (11KV)
*LV switches (240v)
*Control Voltage (24v)
*0-24mA Instrumentation Circuits
*11kV Generators and UPS system
SHIFTS
Each shift includes 1 Maintenance Supervisor and a team of 5 Maintenance Operators (3/2 Mechanical and 2/3 Electircal).
The role includes a mix of planned maintenance (60%), reactive maintenance (30%) and project work (10%).
Planned maintenance tasks are produced by Maximo CMMS system where you would complete the task and upload information identifying any further tasks required.
This site is very new and further expansion is planned hence you may be required from time to time to be involved in installation / commissioning work.
HOURS OF WORK
3 shifts covering weekends (please see shift pattern)
ESSENTIAL ENGINEERING COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
*Basic PLC faultfinding ideally Siemens and Allen Bradley.
*Experience of motors, control systems, Motor Control Centres and invertors drives (Danfoss, Siemens, Lenze).
*Experience of switchboards and switchgear.
*Experience of working within a fast paced industrial environment
*Experience of working within a shift environment
DESIRABLE ENGINEERING COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
*HV 11KV, emergency generators and UPS systems
*Experience of testing instrumentation and electro/pneumatic devices
*Experience of planned preventative maintenance
*Experience of working within a 24/7 production environment
PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
*A high level of commitment and flexibility
*Drive and self motivation to take advantage of the freedom offered.
*Ability to work within a team
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
*Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent
*City and Guilds or equivalent
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
*ONC/HNC level electrical engineer or equivalent
