An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for one of the fastest growing insurance intermediary in the UK and a major force in the industry.
This role involves working in a small team of around 5 people dedicated to delivering sales results for the business exclusively through the broker channel. A massive number of enquiries are received and we are looking for someone with the skills to maximise our returns from these business opportunities.
Underwriters work within defined levels of authority and performance indicators linked to premium growth, account profitability and quote conversion.
The environment is vibrant and challenging whilst at the same time presenting opportunities for all staff looking to grow both with and beyond their current roles.
Personal development plans are agreed and regularly reviewed with investment being made in the training of people as well as support for completion of professional qualifications.
We are looking for team players with good negotiation skills and an analytical and commercial approach to decision making. Able to work as part of a team, IT skills are essential as well as the ability to quickly build rapport and then develop sustainable relationships with customers.
The ideal candidate will be career focussed with a background in Underwriting in a Commercial or Liability led department or in Broking with exposure to the liability and construction sectors. Also must have a minimum of 7 GCSE (or equivalent) grade C and above.
