Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager/Project Manager to join a major telecommunications company at their new Data centre in Leeeds.
The Leeds Facilities Manager is responsible for all aspects of facilities management at the Leeds site.
You are accountable for all legislative testing and inspection along with the introduction and management of a planned preventative maintenance regime.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
•Identify all items of plant or equipment covered by legislation and ensure the necessary tests or inspections are implemented and recorded. (eg. Fire Alarms, High Voltage equipment, portable appliance testing, emergency lighting tests, water hygiene).
•Develop, implement and record a planned preventative maintenance programme on all items of plant and equipment. (eg. Air Conditioning, generators, gates and barriers).
•Engage with all key stakeholders to agree dates for equipment downtime.
•Ensure Health & Safety best practice is adhered to within the facility.
•Report status of facilities to all relevant interested stakeholders.
•Produce documentation to support the planning, delivery and reporting of all facilities activities.
•Manage the activity of all facilities support teams and sub-contractors.
•Manage the activities of the internal security team.
•Identify Risks and Issues associated with the facilities and provide mitigation and advice for risk avoidance.
•Engage with all key stakeholders in the production of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning activity.
•Cost and budgetary control of all aspects concerning the facility.
