The Youth Service as a professional service will aim to recruit to the Youth Worker posts in the first instance. However, there may also be opportunities at Youth Worker in Training level.
You will have the ability to develop and deliver high quality youth work programmes which create opportunities for young people to engage in positive and enjoyable activities. You will also have enthusiasm, good communication skills and an empathy with young people.
Youth Worker Youth Worker in Training £14,409 - £16,080 (pro rata for part time employees)
You must have qualifications to level 2 NVQ/VRQ e.g. 4-5 A to C’s GCSE’s or equivalent.
Successful applicants will be given full training and support to help them develop the knowledge, skills and experience to progress to Youth Worker.

Opportunities exist in various locations across the city for both posts; hours include 9, 12, 16 & 18 per week.
You will be expected to work up to eight evenings per fortnight and weekends and you will be subject to a probationary period.
An Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure check will be carried out on the preferred candidates.
