Main Pay Scale (£105 – 154 per day)
Temporary – ongoing assignment
Celsian Education (agy) are currently seeking a highly motivated and ambitious English Teacher to join a mixed comprehensive Wakefield. The school are well regarded within the LEA & boast an overall good Ofsted report.
The role is due to commence from October half term & is an ongoing assignment. You will inherit a full timetable of mixed ability sets of key stages 3, 4 and 5. You will take full responsibility for all planning, preparation and marking and may also be required to assist with various extra curricula activities. Classrooms are well equipped and well resourced.
You will be joining a large and successful English department and will receive the support required from your peers to integrate into the school quickly.
It is essential that you are an excellent classroom practitioner - you must be able to teach across the full ability range. You must posses an enthusiasm for teaching English which can be shared with your pupils.
You will be confident, creative & have the ability to drive all students to reach their full potential. You will hold QTS (or UK NARIC equivalent), have experience of teaching English within secondary schools and have a full understanding of the national curriculum.
Suitable applicants will be expected to attend an interview and undergo an Enhanced CRB Disclosure. Celsian Education takes the safeguarding of children seriously.
The school is conveniently based close to major road & rail links & is accessible from Wakefield, Barnsley and parts of Kirklees.
