Celsian Education (agy) are currently seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Maths Teacher to join a mixed comprehensive Calderdale school with immediate effect on a temporary ongoing basis.
Having moved out of special measures over 18 months ago, this school has seen a rapid improvement in recent months in pupils grades, behaviour & overall morale.
You will inherit a full time Maths timetable consisting of mixed ability sets of KS3 and KS4. You will take full responsibility for all planning, preparation and marking and may also be required to assist with various extra curricula activities.
The maths department are large, well resourced & rapidly improving. You will receive the support required from your peers to integrate into the school and role quickly.
It is essential that you are an excellent classroom practitioner - you must be able to teach across the full ability range. You must posses an enthusiasm for teaching Maths which can be shared with your pupils. You must be able to lead by example, and keen to work in a context where children genuinely need your support and skills.
You will be confident, creative & have the ability to drive all students to reach their full potential. You will hold QTS (or UK NARIC equivalent), have experience of teaching Maths within a UK secondary school and have a full understanding of the national curriculum. This is a vital in-department role in further increasing overall standards and the successful applicant must demonstrate their commitment to improvement.
The school is conveniently based close to major road links & is accessible from Calderdale as well as parts or Bradford & Kirklees
