Celsian Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a mixed comprehensive school in West Yorkshire. The school are keen to appoint a dedicated teacher of science with immediate effect for an ongoing basis.
The position is a full time post. The timetable consists mainly of mixed ability sets of year 7 to year 13 pupils (Key stage 3, 4 & 5). You will be required to teach Biology to KS5 level and physics & chemistry mainly to the lower school. Your teaching will involve practical and theory led lessons and you will take full responsibility for all planning, preparation and marking.
The Science department are a large, improving team. They are well resourced & your peers will do everything within their power to allow you to integrate quickly & efficiently into the department & school.
You will be confident, creative & have the ability to drive all students to reach their full potential. You must demonstrate an element of passion towards your subject area. You will hold QTS (or UK NARIC equivalent), have experience of teaching biology to Key stage 5 level within a UK secondary school or college and have a full understanding of the national curriculum. You must be motivated and demonstrate a positive attitude to teaching.
The school has a good reputation within the LEA and is located close to good road links – easily accessible from Wakefield, Barnsley & parts of Doncaster
